OL 3040 Team Reflection
I believe my team was in stage 4 at the end of the course. According to Wheelan, "the fourth stage of group development is a time of intense team productivity and effectiveness. At this stage, the group becomes a high performance team" (p. 28). This group worked really well from the start of the semester. The only thing I would say that we missed on was the fighting in stage 2. There was no real arguments with our group. At first this lead me to believe we never left stage 1, however, with the level of work and goal clarification I know we were not at that stage. We did so well on our first assignment that with each assignment after, "the team expects to be successful" (Wheelan p. 115). This shows that my team was ready for high performance and I believe that is why we never had conflict.

My leadership domain is executing. According to the Strengths based Leadership text, "Leaders with dominant strength in the Executing domain know how to make things happen. When you need someone to implement a solution, these are the people who will work tirelessly to get it done" ( Rath and Conchie p.24). One of my themes in the executing domain is consistency. The text states this of those in the Consistency theme, "they treat everyone in the world with consistency by setting up clear rules and adhering to them (Rath and Conchie p. 143). I thrive in a team and environment that is consistent. I worked with my team to make sure we would always be ahead of schedule. When we finished one assignment, we would immediately figure out the details of the next assignment. This routine is what helped our team succeed and do so well together.
